US Moves Naval Forces closer to Syria

Five days ago US National Security Advisor John Bolton warned the Syrian government against using chemical weapons in its offensive to liberate Idlib province from the jihadist militants that took control in 2015. Russia has said US naval ships, loaded with Tomahawk cruise missiles, have moved into the Mediterranean. These events are very similar to what occurred back in April when the US fired missiles at Syria for what it said what the use of chemical weapons. Although there has been debate over whether chemical weapons were in fact used, the US is said they are prepared to act again if needed. RT’s Dan Cohen reports.

Mexico and US Reach Bilateral Trade Agreement

The US and Mexico have reached a bilateral trade agreement marking a significant step forward in reshaping elements of the North American Free Trade Agreement. Canada was notably left out, with the Trump administration saying they would like to retitle NAFTA as the US Mexico Free Trade Agreement. Mexico and the US came to an understanding after five weeks of furious negations, but with Canada left out many questions still remain. RT’s Manila Chan reports.
