German police confirm that a truck was intentionally driven into a crowded Christmas market in central Berlin - killing 12 people. Almost fifty were also 50 injured in what authorities say is a 'presumed' terror attack. Before the deadly incident the EU's law enforcement agency warned about the risk of terror attacks in Europe and specifically on Christmas markets.  The Russian ambassador to Turkey is killed by a gunman in Ankara. The presidents of Russia and Turkey say the attack was aimed at destabilising relations between the countries, as well as their anti-terror efforts in Syria.
