East Meets West welcomes Fyodor Lukyanov, Program Director of the Valdai International Discussion Club for a deep-dive perspective on the escalation between Russia and Europe, why both Kiev and Moscow believe they can win the war, and how the West’s ideological habits distort the actual politician President Putin is.

Is Europe using Russia as a convenient political foe to unify domestic populations and mask internal economic and social struggles? Why does Fyodor Lukyanov argue that current Western diplomatic approaches are built on a non-starter premise? And how has centuries of European distrust shaped today’s military-political crisis?

Are Trump’s assessments of the conflict overly simplified and missing the root causes that date back to the 1980s? Is a military breakthrough in the Russia-Ukraine conflict still possible? And what makes the Western belief in a potential Russian collapse a dangerous historical misconception?

Why is Western demonization completely distorting the reality of Vladimir Putin’s political profile? Why does Fyodor Lukyanov call him the most pro-Western leader in the history of Russia, even if ‘at the first stage’? And why does Putin remain genuinely committed to finding inclusive solutions even when Europe repeatedly rejects them?

Europe is being shaken by a number of events and crises. That’s the main topic of this episode of RT’s Sanchez Effect on the sidelines of the Valdai 2026 forum. Ricks brings in two experts from the gathering – Sergey Karaganov, honorary chairman of the presidium of the Council on Foreign and Defence Policy, and Timofey Bordachev, a professor at Russia’s Higher School of Economics. Both think the EU’s days are numbered. Dr. Bordachev says it will be natural, as the bloc is a US puppet. Dr. Karaganov is more radical in his view, saying it should be finished off by Russia, by force, after decades of escalations against Moscow. They also talk about the Ukraine conflict and agree that there is no chance of survival for the Kiev regime. Dr. Karaganov has also served as a non-governmental adviser for Russia’s leadership, and he brings some insights on Vladimir Putin and other Russian and Soviet heads of state. Don’t miss that, here on RT or on BitChute at ‘ricksancheztv’.

‘They are arming Europe so much that the only way out they have is to do a war - and it might be a nuclear one’ - Lorenzo Maria Pacini, Associate Professor of Political Philosophy and Geopolitics at UniDolomiti of Belluno.

On the latest ‘Sanchez Effect’, Rick sits down with two professors at the Valdai Discussion Club to dissect a fracturing global order. Mr. Pacini is not optimistic, saying European elites have launched a massive cognitive operation against their own citizens. They have bought into their own anti-Russian rhetoric so deeply that they are arming Europe into a corner where conflict feels like the only logical outcome.

Emeritus Professor of History at University College Cork, Geoffrey Roberts is more positive – saying it’s hard to believe in a nuclear conflict – but they both agree it’s the Russian restraint to thank for the management of escalation, not the Western warmongering provocations.

Is Europe blindly marching into a conflict its own people don’t want, or will Washington pull back the reins before it’s too late? Tune in to the latest episode to learn more.

The main topic is US domestic and foreign policy. Ana says that America’s political system lacks real alternatives, citing the example of Democrats and Republicans conducting the same pro-war, anti-Russian foreign policy. She adds that most people don’t support it and want to focus on prosperity for America, not ‘balkanizing’ Russia. Ms. Kasparian also projects a possible escalation against Tehran as Trump is ‘a sore loser which makes the Iran war a lot more difficult to see a light at the end of the tunnel on.’ Learn more here, on RT or on BitChute ‘ricksancheztv’.

Their discussion comes just as the Russian Defense Ministry announces that Ukrainian troops are again encircled in one of the key arenas of the conflict. Stanislav says that Russia can capture the city of Dobropolye in a matter of weeks due to its drone and artillery superiority. Since it is the last prepared defense line in that direction, he adds, further advancement by Russian troops will look like a blitzkrieg.
In the latest episode of In Conversation with Salman Khurshid, India’s former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid sits down with India’s former Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai for a candid look at India’s place in a changing world.

The conversation spans India’s ties with its neighbors, BRICS 2026, the Russia relationship and the conflicts reshaping West Asia, and what it will take for India to have a greater say in shaping the global order.
‘Russia had the perception that the US was very powerful militarily. And then just like in the Wizard of Oz at the end, the curtain gets pulled back and the great and powerful Oz turns out to be this little guy with a drinking problem’ – Larry Johnson.

Today’s guest on RT’s Sanchez Effect is former CIA analyst and BERG associates CEO, Larry Johnson. Rick and his guest waste no time breaking down the Middle East and Ukraine conflicts, with Rick saying he believes the Russians want to finish off Ukraine, but Kiev won’t back away from its escalation against civilian targets. Larry calls Kiev’s weekend drone barrage a “pyrrhic victory” as Moscow’s retaliation will certainly make Vladimir Zelensky regret his decision. On Iran, Rick poses the question of whether an uprising in the Islamic Republic is possible amid such instability there. Larry says – no chance. Iranian society has become united, with 98% of them now supporting their government – and despite all Washington’s efforts to divide them. Rick and Larry also discussed the recent Ansar Allah advances against the Yemeni government and Saudi Arabia. The former CIA analyst reminds Rick that the US and other Saudi friends are not there to help the kingdom, so perhaps the Houthis might make a move on Riyadh quite soon. You can watch the whole episode here on RT, or on BitChute ‘ricksancheztv’.

Why does Ambassador Polyanskiy say Europe has inched closer to one, and that a single incident could be enough to trigger it? And why does he argue that unpopular European leaders stay in power while leading their populations toward confrontation?

Is Washington a mediator or a source of pressure? Why does Ambassador Polyanskiy call Trump “mercurial” while describing US interests as “pragmatic”? How does he read the mixed signals — peace talks, a sanctions bill headed for Trump’s signature and a planned US base in Poland — and why does he say Russia is not counting on America’s help? And why does he say Europe and Zelensky are trying to derail the understandings reached in Anchorage?

Is there a way back? Why does he say Russia’s door to diplomacy remains open, and that the first step is a clear declaration that neither side plans to attack the other? What would a European security “equation” built together with Russia look like — and can Europe move away from a zero-sum approach toward peaceful coexistence?

And is the UN slowly dying – or, as Ambassador Polyanskiy argues, are Western countries holding Security Council reform “hostage”?

‘Africans vote for their leaders, Europeans don’t – and their elites try to teach us about democracy’ – BRICS TV General Director Ayanda Holo.

On the latest episode of Sanchez Effect, Rick Sanchez sits down with BRICS TV General Director Ayanda Holo, who doesn’t mince words on the state of European politics. Despite extremely low support among the electorate, the elites cling to power for years. Holo and Sanchez dissect the shifting balance of global power. Holo notes that the BRICS nations achieved a historic consensus despite their differing interests and goals, proving that the youth of the Global South no longer reveres Western dominance. With the UN Security Council facing an inevitable revamp by powers like South Africa, Brazil, and India, the conversation shifts to the future of Africa. By 2050, a quarter of the world’s population will be African – driven by a hyper-young, innovative demographic and an abundance of critical minerals.

The writing is on the wall: The world is interconnected, and the era of isolating the Global South is over.

Nagi also highlights the need to give Indian teachers a stronger voice in policy making. Turning to technology and artificial intelligence, she stresses that innovation in education must go hand in hand with humanity, empathy and independent thinking.

If the US has a strategy when it comes to the wars on Russia and Iran, it is not obvious. Instead of pursuing an end to hostilities in Ukraine, there is talk of using tactical nuclear weapons. Instead of honoring the MoU, Washington turns to more sanctions on Iran. These are strategies to continue war.

Rick takes us through major updates on the Ukraine and Iran conflicts. And who better to discuss it than retired Air Force Colonel Roxane Towner-Watkins? She says Russia is not NATO’s enemy, though the bloc needs a boogeyman, which is why we hear contradictory statements from politicians that Russia is losing the war but is about to attack NATO. Col. Towner-Watkins also gives a deep historical analysis of how NATO and US policies were shaped by former Nazis after World War II. In this special episode of India, Russia, and the World, Runjhun Sharma, Head of News at RT India, sits down with the Taliban’s chief spokesperson, Zabihullah Mujahid. Under Taliban rules, the two were not filmed in the same frame. He says the country is “undoubtedly” better off without foreign forces on its soil. While he admits there are problems, he says Afghanistan is moving in a positive direction. He speaks about Kabul’s desire to strengthen ties with India. He also discusses Afghanistan’s relationship with Russia, saying Kabul wants to benefit from Russia’s experience in rebuilding the country, while also seeking greater cooperation in fuel and energy.

We also speak to Muhajir Farahi, the Taliban government’s Deputy Minister of Information and Culture, who says Western sanctions are hurting ordinary Afghans. He defends the Emirate’s right to set its own laws based on Islamic values and national interests. “We don’t allow anyone to interfere in our internal affairs,” says Farahi.

Over the past five years so-called flock safety cameras have spread across the United States. They are meant to read car license plate numbers and their manufacturers say they are purely for safety and assisting law enforcement. But that has not stopped citizens from being concerned about surveillance. Some have even taken it into their own hands and begun destroying flock cameras. Then, he goes on to describe how the Ukraine proxy war is increasing the risk of a WWIII and exposes the rise of military-Keynesianism in the US & Europe. Afshin Rattansi confronts him on the World Bank’s role in destroying the economies of so many countries, while speculating on whether BRICS institutions will be able to replace the IMF & World Bank. The pair goes on to discuss the success of China’s economic model, while deliberating on whether China is trying to export Chinese communism, and then give their opinions on whether we’ve finally reached the end of neoliberal economics.

On this episode of Sanchez Effect, Rick Sanchez sits down with a man who needs no introduction. Tucker Carlson drops a truth bomb right from the start, arguing that when a podcaster is widely tipped for the presidency, it speaks volumes about the absolute bankruptcy of America’s current leadership – a class he brands as both criminal and dangerously incompetent.

The gloves come off as Carlson blasts the collective West for blindly pushing humanity to the brink of World War III by actively waging a calculated war against Russia. Sanchez and Carlson dissect how a hijacked, illegitimate political elite has traded America’s domestic prosperity for global destruction.

From exposing the illusion of modern Western democracy to revealing how Deep-State actors leverage mass migration as a deliberate weapon, Carlson holds nothing back. He pulls back the curtain on Ukraine, saying it has been stripped of its sovereignty and is being used as a mere pawn by NATO to destabilize Russia and drain its resources.

On this episode of America First, Scottie Nell Hughes looks at the new trend of surveillance shopping. AI can now predict when and where we plan to spend our hard-earned bucks. Stores can take that information and change prices on an hourly basis to maximize profit. But is this an unfair strategy, one that is harmful to the consumer? And is it even legal? Or is this a future inevitability that we all have to accept? Joining Scottie for this conversation are Dr. Tamara Patzer, author and creator at the Daily Success Media Network, and Michael Wynne, an attorney who focuses on US federal criminal investigations and trials.

“With Bibi whispering into Trump’s ear, ‘one more push and you will win,’ Trump is stuck in another forever war.” – Ali Akbar Dareini, writer and researcher at the Centre for Strategic Studies in Tehran.

In the latest episode of ‘Sanchez Effect’ Mr. Dareini blasts the US president and his administration for blowing off peace agreements, and lays out why the Pentagon can’t seem to break Tehran’s will.

He says instead of surrendering, Iran has cleverly weaponized the “art of war,” by shutting down a vital maritime choke point, and despite the not-so-subtle Israeli influence that wants to drag America into another conflict it can’t win.

Later, Rick and Chay Bowes expose the crumbling facade of Western media. You won’t believe what passes for journalism these days, and the questions reporters ask. Tune in to RT to find out.

In the latest episode of In Conversation with Salman Khurshid, Kishwar Desai, the founder-chairperson of India’s Partition Museum, joins former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid for a conversation marking the 79th anniversary of India’s Independence. Desai says the museum, curated along the lines of Apartheid and Holocaust museums, serves as a reminder to the world of how a line drawn on a map split a nation in two, resulting in the displacement and deaths of millions. For her, the museum is a “site of conscience” that reminds us that these tragedies must never be repeated. She blames the British and their policy of divide and rule for partitioning the nation, and for doing so in haste, leaving behind two newly formed countries and millions of people to fend for themselves. Desai says the Partition Museum also celebrates the innate goodness of humanity by showcasing how people from different communities saved one another’s lives during the violence of partition. According to her, both India and Pakistan need to overcome the burden of the cultural disruption, and the museum plays an important role in preserving uncomfortable memories while promoting understanding and reconciliation.

‘Iran is another forever war that we were promised would never happen again. And it’s going bad’ – American journalist Ethan Levins.

In the latest episode of Sanchez Effect, Ethan Levins delivers a brutal reality check on the state of America today. While Washington channels billions into overseas conflicts in Ukraine and Israel, the American people are forced to buy groceries on credit, watch the housing market slip away, and survive without basic healthcare. He says the US is not the world’s police anymore. Washington has turned into the biggest warmonger and Americans aren’t buying into the appeal of foreign interventions anymore. He explains how the alliance of China, Russia, and Iran is pushing back, proving the US military can no longer dominate like it did. Tune in.
