28 people, including the US-based head of the Gulen movement, have been formally charged by a Turkish prosecutor in the 2016 assassination of Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov. Fethullah Gulen and his lieutenants were listed among the suspects in the shocking murder. The indictment states that the murder was an act of provocation by Gulen aimed at undermining Turkish-Russian relations.
