Olympic champion doubts figure skating can become a phygital discipline
Olympic champion Anna Scherbakova believes that phygital sport is an interesting endeavor, but figure skating is unlikely to become a phygital discipline.
“It’s a very interesting event, but I think it’s more suitable for other sports. Figure skating is still a sports and arts combination, where presenting a program is very important. This is only possible in the real world. But I think young people will still be enthusiastic about the event,” Match TV quoted Scherbakova as saying.
The Games of the Future phygital tournament will be held in Kazan from February 21 to March 3.
