Demonstrators across America took to the streets on Wednesday, taking part in a national day of protest against police brutality. Citing multiple examples of law enforcement using excessive force and racial profiling, organizers called for more stringent oversight and justice for the many victims that go unseen. RT’s Alexey Yaroshevsky is on the ground in New York City with more details, and Tyrel Ventura is in Washington with analysis.

Colorado Green Party candidate for governor Harry Hempy is fighting to make his voice heard over his mainstream Democratic and Republican rivals. Although vastly underfunded compared to his establishment counterparts, Hempy wants to show voters how the major political parties are not very different from each other, offering no real change. RT’s Manila Chan speaks to the candidate and gets his thoughts on the upcoming election.
