Insurgents with the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria continue their offensive in Iraq, capturing more cities and inching closer to Baghdad. The militants also reportedly massacred 1,700 Iraqi security forces over the weekend, posting pictures online of a mass execution in Tikrit. RT's Ameera David discusses the implications and politics of this latest violence with former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura.

Guantanamo Bay's most infamous prisoners appeared before a judge Monday. Alleged 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four others appeared as part of a judge's inquiry into accusations that FBI agents infiltrated the detainee's defense teams.
