The Albuquerque Police Department is facing scrutiny once again after shooting and killing a 19-year-old woman Tuesday. Police said Mary Hawkes was suspected of stealing a vehicle and pointed a gun at an officer when she was confronted. Hawkes is the third person in just over a month to have been killed by Albuquerque police, and the first since the Department of Justice released a report chastising the department for its use of force and a high number of civilian deaths. Ameera David speaks with RT's Ramon Galindo about this latest incident involving the controversial police force.

Army whistleblower Chelsea Manning, previously known as Bradley Manning, is getting her name change officially recognized. A judge in Kansas ruled the government should recognize the name change of the former intelligence analyst who was convicted for giving classified documents to WikiLeaks. Military records will now be updated to reflect her new name. RT's Ameera David has the latest details on the transgender activist.
